ZINC Research shares Calgary Reads' commitment to early literacy.
April 30, 2010, Calgary AB – ZINC Research is pleased to announce that it has become a sponsor of the Calgary Reads/CBC 2010 Book Sale.
Calgary Reads is an early literacy initiative that changes the lives of struggling grade one and two readers and their families in schools in Calgary and the surrounding area. A popular community-wide event held every spring, the book sale is known for its emphasis on quality fiction and non-fiction bargains for all ages of readers.
This year’s sale will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Triwood Arena, 2244 Chicoutimi Drive NW.
“I read for fun as much as for my work,” says ZINC president Brian Singh. "As a market researcher and sociologist, I consider myself a lifelong learner, and increasingly this is becoming a prerequisite in more and more careers. Calgary Reads is committed to the belief that the earlier our children develop good reading habits, the better they’ll be equipped to achieve their dreams and aspirations. It’s a great cause and a great community event.”About Zinc Research
